End product

In our group consisting of Chad, Jason, and Sebastian, we'd say we did a great job. We have many scenes which has deviated from the original storyboard. The thing is, we created new ideas mid filming, which cause us to make a better commercial than planned. Next we have the filming, with only 2 real shots and the rest being in-game shots. These in-game shots combined with the perfect editing Jason did for each made this video great. The editing had clean transitions, music syncs, and much more than can appeal to all audiences. It almost seemed like a compilation of clips with an actual trailer to back it up. The first clips show Sebastian and Chad sitting next to each other playing their switches. This is the start of the story, as they're both playing around having a good time. The final scenes are with the Nintendo Switch being used, then put away for the day. This shows that the whole day was spent playing video games and the day finally ended with putting it away. As we put it back into the dock, the day ends, as the outro screen appears and the video ends.

Directing and Editing

Today on October 5th, we were going to record our next scene for our commercial. So when we were allowed to leave, we went back to the cafeteria upstairs to keep location the same. So then we realized a problem, that Jason's switch didn't work and Chad’s and my switch were dead. So we had to let the switch charge for a period of time. Once they were okay, we got on the floor and pretended to play something. This showcased some real life co-op play. This scene was a paning shot to show our consoles communicating with each other. This teamwork can show how we're playing the game together, which is shown in the next scene. Where we played the smash clip, we edited it to make it shorter. We now realized what a burden this 30 second time limit was. We had so many ideas but we had to cut them due to time. I then had an idea for our next scene. I figured we could showcase the single player part of the switch. So I took 20 minutes getting the next scene ready. I had the idea to go against the final boss of the game and do a flurry rush. The thing is I didnt realize is that whenever you hit, theres a hit effect that gets in the way. A flurry rush is slowing down time to do multiple attacks. So all the attack effects were stuck in front of the main character. This was a problem for Chad but the other members of the team thought it was fine. So with a heavy heart, Chad decided to keep the clip due to us being amateurs. Soon we were kicked out from upstairs cafeteria and had to relocate to the library. Since there was no testing anymore, we were allowed to record in there.  We didn't record though, we just brainstormed what we should do since we were running out of time. We decided to start editing because we needed to know how much time we had left with all these scenes.

Final Task

This was definitely the hardest project thus far, and we had somewhat of a rough time but by the end we persevered, Personally i think disr...
