In the third scene- The man with the briefcase is still walking but who just cam from a dark alleyway is now following the man with the suitcase. In the fourth scene- The man is following the guy with the briefcase in many locations. It will cut to the different places in the city just like in scene 1. In the fifth scene- The man with the briefcase sits to eat lunch and the guy following him hides behind a tree to try to blend in so he won't be caught. In the sixth scene- The guy with the briefcase throws away his lunch but leaves the briefcase unattended. This makes it the perfect chance to steal the briefcase. In the seventh scene- The man is seen walking towards the briefcase and takes it and starts to run away. In the eighth scene- The guy returns and notices the guy who is starting to take the briefcase and running off. In the ninth scene- The person is starting to get angry and starts chasing the robber to attempt to get his briefcase back. Planning

 Props:

Since our rap video will be about punishment of stealing, we would need a briefcase which is what we would steal. Our 2nd prop would be a fake gun to show one of the characters killing off the thief.

Costumes

For our commercial, two group members will be the subjects. The actors are going to wear normal going-out clothes. This will consist of jackets and long pants to match the mysterious look we're looking for. The shoes would be normal shoes, and basically the whole costume would be appropriate for school.

Schedule

a. On November 16th, we did the planning blog talking about our entire plan and backup plan for this music video.

b. On November 19th, we will create the storyboard illustrating our whole music video plan

c. We are planning to record the whole video on December 3rd after school because of everyone's schedules.

d. The Midterm/CCR will be the reflection on our music video and will be turned in on December 17th.

Location List

The place that we're going to is called Las Olas. Here we will film walking on the street with the two actors. And midway through the end of the video the location would be in an alleyway found in Las Olas. This place would represent New York, where the original music video was created. How crime can happen in the city and how people can die over crime.

Backup Plan

If our original plan to go to Las Olas does not work, than our backup plan is to film at Chad's house found at Coral Springs. There we can go to another city that captures the spirit and look of New York.

Research

For this project my group is making a music video for the song Exhibit C by Jay Electronical. The music videos created by Jay Electronical was to inspired people not to steal. In these music videos the actors always wear attire fit to the occasion such as business suits or a butchers outfit while in the workplace. However the outfits always have a trendy style to them that makes a pop culture statement. The music videos often feature props similar to the workplace or items that agree with the title of the video, for example in the payphone music video a payphone is prominently featured as the medium of communication. Other common props include drinks and party games that are used to represent the effects of party culture on relationships. The main characters are always made to look clean and in shape to make them physically appealing to the main stream audience. The characters does change as the story progresses throughout the music videos as they either release their true emotion or are reacting to an event. The music in these videos are always higher tempo songs which is shown in the music videos fast and interruption-less storytelling. Conventions and Codes These videos appeal pathologically through the exaggeration yet relatability of their videos. This is most prominently featured in the circumstances of the videos having high budget CGI and unrealistically crazy scenarios while still conveying the relatable message of the desire to be loved. Music videos created by Jay Electronical always present Jay Electronical as the main character because of his popularity. These music videos manipulate existing clout to garner more attention. Use models as potential lovers to show that even the most "pretty" undergo the same lust for love.

Research

After multiple debates, our group has decided on multiple factors on the upcoming music video. Today we searched and looked into different possible songs that could be elected for our filming blow. We went for a gloomy and grey feel that would be nostalgic. The song and music video will relate to many people. Our music video will be about the city and a stalker.

Cams: First Person View

Clamps: Setting - New York City.

Sounds: No other sounds other than the song

Editing: Black and White filter.

My group consists of three people, being Jason Pierre, Chad Johnson, and Sebastian Suarez. Now this group is very special because they can all do what the other can't. Chad has the acting ability that makes him the perfect model for any situation. Jason can edit and record like a professional YouTuber and makes perfect content. Now Chad is a hard worker too, as he gets all A's and B's for all his grades. Jason gets A's and B's too and excels at most classes. Sebastian is a great comrade who will help in areas where we cannot perform much. He is a stellar student with all A's and will work as hard as he can to do anything possible. With us working together planning ahead will really allow us to form a nicely structured video for our music video. As a group we will be able to efficiently make progress on our work diligently. Whether we choose to split up the work or to work together, we can trust each other to get our parts down. Chad plays many sports such as tennis and football. He plays on the Fort Lauderdale JV Football team and is planning to play tennis soon. He wants to become the number one Olympic athlete in the world. Jason loves video editing and studying computers. He is very passionate about what he loves to do. He wants to be a good editor someday. Sebastian loves to hack gaming consoles and try to make them better. He'll modify them and reverse engineer them to learn how to build his own. He wants to become the man who will create the biggest video game console in the world.

Intro blog

Hello, I am Sebastian Suarez-Espino; I’m 15 years old and I’m taking this class because I’m interested in Media Studies. I love movies, but more importantly I love what comes with making them. My favorite films have to be Buster’s Mal Heart, School of Rock, and The Runaways. What I want to accomplish in this class is learn the proper tools and terminology to create a short film the way I envision. I am of hispanic descent, I have an older sibling, and two loving parents. My biggest dream is to make a film that envisions I and my parents culture while mixing my own interests. I hope with this class i will be able to further my creativity and love for film making. If i was able to i would make a movie with my favorite music artists, maybe centered around them (E.X, Joan Jett and Rob Zombie). I feel like I will be able to really flourish in this class in general, I’ll definitely try my best. Disregarding what i said prior, i would love to make a film like “No Country for Old Men” featuring Javier Bardem the emotions put behind the movie and the acting was great. The types of films I prefer are usually the more darker/serious ones, but, with films like The School of Rock I can’t help but to love it with Jack Blacks great acting and the punk-rock inspiration it’s hard to resist. Admittedly I enjoy a plethora movies, from as dumb as “The Big Lewboski” to as serious as The Dark-knight trilogy, I don’t mean to sound pretentious but, I enjoy movies so much. Here i’m going to attach a clip from one of my favorite films “No Country for Old Men” :

This shows an amazing amount of acting a camera work from both actors. It’s honestly amazing what they did which such a small space, and even with anton not yelling and being violent you can tell he’s still very much a threat. A film like No Country for Old Men is something I want to produce when i’m older. I hope i’m given the chance to get better at film making with this boo class. I am honestly looking forward to starting my project and to start creating my creative prowess. That’s going to be the end of my first blog, thank you.

Final Task

This was definitely the hardest project thus far, and we had somewhat of a rough time but by the end we persevered, Personally i think disr...
